Senior Production Architect

LPMD Architects is a fast growing, full-service architectural practice with an extensive portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. We are a collaborative, design-focused team committed to delivering creative and buildable solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Architect to join our expanding team in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who excel at coordinating design and technical documentation, communicating with clients and consultants, and working effectively to lead a team.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and coordinated Construction Documents and Details using AutoCAD and/or Revit, ensuring compliance with California Building Codes, ADA requirements, and Title 24.
  • Participate in all phases of a project, from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
  • Lead consultant coordination across disciplines (structural, MEP, civil, etc.) to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Lead construction administration efforts including respond to RFIs, review submittals/shop drawings, resolve construction issues, and attend site visits as needed.
  • Research, coordinate, and submit plan check responses to city agencies.
  • Lead team members and contribute to maintaining quality standards in design and technical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors in meetings and presentations.
  • Be prepared for full-time office presence, not remote.

Qualifications

  • Accredited degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial and/or mixed-use projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing production team and coordinating consultants.
  • Strong experience in Construction Administration and resolving field issues.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), with skills in Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Excel.
  • Strong technical drafting and detailing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the California Building Code
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet fast-paced deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in client interaction and relationship management.
  • California architectural license or on track toward licensure.
