Project Manager – Hazardous Material Storage

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring seamless coordination between design teams, consultants, and clients.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will play a critical role in overseeing project execution, focusing on concrete tilt-up industrial buildings and other commercial projects. This position reports directly to the Senior Team Lead and/or Regional Director and requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. We are looking for a PM with experience in hazardous material storage permitting and applicable codes. We have many out of state projects and travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all project information, including scheduling, design decisions, meeting direction from clients, consultant management, and drawing coordination.
- Lead, manage, and take accountability for project success.
- Ensure overall project communication between all stakeholders.
- Conduct job site visits to track progress and review project issues as needed.
- Participate in city meetings to facilitate entitlement and CD permitting processes.
- Accurately model and document full projects in Revit (some minor CAD), including site, building, and tenant improvements.
- Coordinate drawings with code compliance, consultant inputs, and design requirements.
- Oversee and manage Job Captains and Project Assistants to ensure smooth workflow on larger projects.
- Review drawings for accuracy and completeness, providing detailed comments and markups for Job Captains and Project Assistants.
- Manage meeting minutes and drawing markups for conference calls.
- Attend and lead coordination and client meetings to drive project progress.
- Define and oversee project specifications to meet design and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects stay ahead of schedule.
- Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee construction administration, resolving on-site challenges and ensuring adherence to design intent.
- Maintain quality control of drawings, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within budget constraints.
- Facilitate consultant coordination, ensuring all disciplines are aligned.
- Lead design coordination, integrating client vision, technical requirements, and consultant inputs.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address project challenges efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently while also excelling in team collaboration and leadership.
- Proficiency in Revit for accurate modeling and documentation.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations efficiently.
- Strong leadership and accountability mindset with a strategic approach to project execution.
- Hazardous Material Permitting and coordination
- Regular travel across the US
- Licensed Architect, PE, or FPE preferred
- Project Management and Construction Management certifications encouraged
