Project Manager/Architect – Palm Beach, FL
Northworks Architects & Planners is seeking a Project Manager/Architect with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our Palm Beach, Florida studio. This full-time, in-office position is ideal for design professionals ready to take on greater responsibility within a collaborative, design-driven environment that balances innovation with the architectural heritage and distinctive coastal character of South Florida.
The Palm Beach studio engages in a diverse portfolio of high-end residential, waterfront, and hospitality projects throughout South Florida and beyond. Project Managers/Architects at this office are actively involved in all project phases—from conceptual design through construction administration—and benefit from mentorship, cross-office collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects that reflect the refinement and elegance of Palm Beach living while meeting national design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development of architectural designs across multiple project phases.
- Produce, oversee, and coordinate detailed construction documents, presentation drawings, and design deliverables.
- Collaborate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to achieve design excellence and project goals.
- Guide and mentor junior staff, providing feedback and support throughout the design and documentation process.
- Participate in and often lead client meetings, internal design reviews, and project coordination sessions.
- Support business development efforts through the preparation of proposals, presentations, and conceptual design work as needed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Northworks’ national offices to foster a unified design approach.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architecture or design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; strong experience with Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, Blue Beam, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to manage design and documentation efforts across multiple project phases.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-relations skills with the ability to clearly convey design intent both visually and verbally.
- Comprehensive knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methods, and documentation standards.
- Familiarity with Florida building codes, coastal construction standards, and local permitting processes is strongly preferred.
- Ability to balance independent work with effective collaboration in a fast-paced studio environment.

- Must be able to work full-time on-site at our Palm Beach office.
