McMAHON-BAEK ARCHITECTURE is currently seeking an Architectural Draftsperson/BIM Modeler with 5+ years of demonstrated professional excellence to work in their studio located in Manhattan.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Draftsperson/ BIM modeler with excellent project management and communication skills (written, oral, graphic) to join our team and help lead a transition into Revit/BIM based documentation.
The work will focus on finding a optimal balance between harnessing the power and efficiency of current technology with the flexibility, specificity and low-risk setup that one-off two dimensional drawings can provide. This will be accomplished through the development of, and enforcement of standards, the ability to help other architects and designers document their work, and a flexible, design-forward approach that preferences the end-result over simplified workflows.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Revit / BIM standards for the office
- Provide project support, setup, and general assistance to the office regarding software, conceptual frameworks, and best practices
- Develop and maintain Revit families and BIM objects for current projects as well as harvesting and developing details for use from past projects
- Maintain and coordinate Revit Add-ins (Bluebeam, Enscape, Rhino Inside Revit)
- Assist across a variety of projects in all forms of digital documentation
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated ability to produce documentation for built projects, organize information, and manage workflow while maintaining clarity of design vision and excellence in execution
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Ability to work independently and self-monitor progress in order to meet expectations
- Professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a Construction related field
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, and Revit Add-ins
- US work authorization required
Bonus Qualifications:
- CAD/CAM experience (Glowforge, Carvera, Ultimaker)
- Digital Prototyping techniques
- Technical Documentation Skills + Written Specification experience
