About WAU
WAU – Watchorn Architecture & Urbanism – is a full-service architecture and urban design practice based in New York City, working across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. Our work is driven by a deep curiosity for new organizational typologies that offer unique ways of living, working, and engaging with one another.
Our practice is structured around a clear distinction between project design and project delivery roles. While our design team leads the creative aspects of a project including conceptual development and design authorship, our delivery team leads the technical elements, ensuring these ideas are translated into well executed, code-compliant, and constructible buildings, on time and on schedule. This position is firmly embedded within the project delivery side of the practice.
The Role
WAU is seeking a Junior Architect to join our delivery team and contribute to the technical development of high-design projects. This role supports the execution of architectural documentation and construction coordination under the guidance of senior technical staff. It’s a growth-oriented position for a designer who enjoys the rigor of translating conceptual ideas into precise, buildable work.
