Senior Project Team

Henning Larsen’s New York office is seeking a Senior Project Team member to support the delivery of complex architectural projects across all phases. This role is design-driven and production-focused, with increasing responsibility for technical execution, consultant coordination, and ownership of significant project components under the direction of the Project Lead and Project Director.

The Senior Project Team role is intended for designers and architects with 4+ years of professional experience who demonstrate strong design thinking, growing technical expertise, and the ability to independently lead defined portions of a project while contributing to the overall design vision. Henning Larsen is seeking a candidate to join our team early this year, ideally this February.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Design Thinking & Design Development

  • Develop 3D models, diagrams, renderings, and plan studies to advance all aspects of the design throughout iterative project phases
  • Lead design development for assigned areas under Project Lead guidance with a determined and self-starter approach
  • Contribute to the development of design and presentation materials for internal reviews, client presentations, competitions, and design documentation as needed
  • Produce comprehensive drawing sets from concept design through construction documents for assigned project scope
  • Manage time and workload to meet project tasks, while ensuring quality and organization of project deliverables

Technical Understanding & Coordination

  • Develop familiarity with applicable building codes, zoning, and detailing, and apply to assigned components
  • Translate technical requirements into clear, coordinated drawings and diagrams
  • Produce coordination drawings, markups, and diagrams in preparation for consultant meetings
  • Actively engage with consultants to resolve coordination items related to assigned project areas

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 4+ years of post-graduate professional experience from Concept Design through Construction
  • Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited school
  • Architectural licensure in progress or completed; AXP and exams underway or completed preferred
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to complex architectural projects across multiple phases
  • Strong design sensibility supported by solid technical and production skills
  • Inquisitive and creative designers who are open to learning new information while also sharing knowledge with less experienced staff
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and other digital design workflows
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
  • Available to work full-time in person in New York, NY
  • Fluent in English

Salary Transparency Statement

At Henning Larsen, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $75,000 – $100,000.  Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
