Following the positive outcome of the previous year’s edition, the local Pro Loco association is renewing its collaboration with Camposaz within the framework of the Lapis Festival (Artistic Laboratory for an Illustrated Landscape), aimed at the creative regeneration of the village of SagronMis. The project seeks to bring together designers and illustrators to realize an illustrated architectural installation in the small urban cluster of Mis, in collaboration with professionals including Stefano Gaio, Nadia Groff, and Margherita Paoletti.
This year, the experience will be sheltered in Mis, aiming to restore and enhance a public roofed infrastructure, core of the social activities around the village.
Who can participate:
Camposaz is a 1:1 scale design and wooden self-build workshop focused on creating architectural objects that engage with the landscape and its inhabitants.
The call is open to 6 designers from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences, who will be selected and guided by the Camposaz team throughout the ten-day design and construction process.
The aim is to form a temporary group capable of integrating creative and practical processes to produce a cohesive work. During the workshop, participants will create wooden structures inspired by themes provided by the organizers, while developing an environmentally-conscious, hands-on, and context-sensitive approach.
How to apply:
To participate, please fill out the online form by June 14.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge; only a €15 membership fee to the Camposaz Association is required.
Applicants will be selected based on a short motivational letter (max 200 words) and a project that reflects their architectural approach (max 1-2 A4 pages).
Participants will camp near the construction site, so a tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag are required.
Main meals and transportation for additional activities during the 10-day workshop will be provided by the organization.
