Terraviva launches SITUER MILANO, a new competition developed in collaboration with the design brand of the same name, challenging architects and designers to conceive a coordinated furniture collection structured around three coherent and original elements.
Prizes up to €7.000 will be awarded to the winners, and the first prize collection will be developed for prototyping and commercial production, with the designer receiving royalties on every unit sold.
BRIEF
Situér Milano invites architects and designers to shape the next chapter of its distinctive identity through the creation of a coordinated furniture collection. The challenge is to conceive three interconnected elements – one main piece and two complementary objects – capable of expressing a coherent and recognisable language.
The primary element may take the form of a shelving system, console or seating piece, acting as the structural core of the collection, while the secondary elements – such as a coat rack, umbrella holder, mirror, lamp or tray – should reinforce the same formal and material principles.

GUIDELINES
Conceived for domestic interiors, retail environments or both, the mini collection must balance versatility with clarity of concept. Rooted in Situér Milano’s expertise in sheet metal, brass and stainless steel, proposals should combine structural precision with refined detailing. As the winning collection will be prototyped and produced, particular attention to feasibility, construction logic and ease of assembly will be essential.
More than designing a single object, the goal lies in shaping a small but complete system – a family of elements that, through proportion, material and detail, can define space with coherence and character.
REQUESTED MATERIAL
One A3 Book 420 x 297 mm (horizontal – max 20 pages) and two Representative Images (horizontal – 2560 x 1810 px)
JURY
Proposals will be evaluated by the board of Castellani.it S.r.l., with Camillo Castellani [Situér Milano] serving as President of the company’s jury panel.
