1. Competition Process
This competition proceeds as a two-stage international design competition.
– Stage 1: Three(3) teams will be selected through an evaluation of the applications submitted for the international design competition.
– Stage 2: The design proposals submitted by the three teams selected in Stage 1 will be evaluated, and one(1) final team will be selected.
2. Competition Schedule
– Stage 1 Proposal Submission:
August 10, 2026 – September 7, 2026, 13:00 (KST), approximately four weeks
– Stage 2 Design Submission:
October 14, 2026, 18:00 (KST)

Implementing a Space-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to develop all-season family aquatic leisure complex (Swimming Pool)
4. Competition Details
Placemaking and Public Goods Design for the designated project site
Site: Outdoor Swimming Pool within Hwamyeong Ecological Park
(Around 763-5, Deokcheon-dong, Buk-gu, Busan, Republic of Korea)
5. Eligibility Requirements
– Companies or organizations, either domestic or international, with professional expertise and proven experience in the field of public design are eligible to participate.
-The representative company (or institution) must meet at least one of the following requirements as of the date of the competition announcement:
Have received an award in a public design-related competition within the past three years; or Have completed at least three public design-related projects.
– Joint entries or consortiums may consist of up to four(4) companies or organizations, including partners necessary to supplement qualifications required for the detailed design phase.
6. Prize
– Three teams selected for Stage 2 : Approx. USD 20,548 per team
– Final selected team (1 team) : Approx. USD 226,027
