NOT A HOTEL DESIGN COMPETITION 2026
Entry and submissions are now open for architects and creators under 40.
The second edition of the competition takes place on Yakushima Island. With world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, architect Sou Fujimoto, and interior designer Masamichi Katayama as judges, the Grand Prize-winning design will be realized and sold as a NOT A HOTEL property.
Eligibility: Architects and creators under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2026
Nationality / Qualifications / Affiliation: Not required
Grand Prize: ¥10,000,000 + design fee
And new this year: the Student Prize (U-25).
