OPEN CALL: Reconstruct missile-damaged Pavlov City house in Kharkiv

INSPIRELI announces a new international architectural competition, “Kharkiv Pavlov City House Reconstruction”, launched as part of the INSPIRELI FOR UKRAINE series. It aims to help Ukraine by offering the architectural design for the damaged buildings as an initial step to help with country’s recovery. The City of Kharkiv is inviting architects, civil engineers, urban planners, studios, students, and universities worldwide to contribute ideas that can help guide the real reconstruction and future life of a significant local landmark.

The competition focuses on the Pavlov City House, an outstanding classicist building dating to 1832, which was damaged by a missile in 2022. Participants are asked to propose a sensitive reconstruction combined with adaptive reuse and a new public-facing program, while also considering the adjacent park and the area’s transformation toward a more pedestrian-friendly urban space

Competition is open and more information and brief to be found at www.inspireli.com/kharkiv.
