Northworks Architects & Planners is seeking a Project Manager / Project Architect with 5–7 years of professional experience to join our Philadelphia office. Title will be based on licensure status. This full-time, in-office position is ideal for experienced designers who are ready to take ownership of projects, mentor junior team members, and work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
This role is best suited for a self-motivated professional with strong technical and organizational skills, who is confident leading custom residential, hospitality, and commercial projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage projects through all design and construction phases
- Lead project coordination with consultants, clients, and internal teams
- Oversee design development, construction documentation, and quality control
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders
- Collaborate with firm leadership and other studios to ensure design intent and firm standards are upheld
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in a professional architectural setting
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Architectural licensure preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered for the Project Manager title
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative across multiple projects
- Strong proficiency in Revit and experience producing high-quality construction documents
- Familiarity with Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of building codes, detailing, and construction methods
- Must be available to work full-time, in-person in our Philadelphia office
