SMALL PROJECT BIG IMPACT

Building Trust International are excited to announce the launch of our 10th Design Challenge. An open call to architects, designers, engineers and creative thinkers to propose small-scale projects, anywhere globally that deliver meaningful impact. The focus is on ideas that serve a charitable purpose, support humanitarian goals, or contribute to conservation efforts.

Building Trust International are seeking thoughtful, practical and buildable proposals that address real-world needs—particularly for individuals, communities, or ecosystems that are often overlooked or underserved.

The Challenge:

Contestants should submit high impact projects that support underserved or vulnerable communities, address humanitarian challenges or conservation needs, promote sustainability, adaptability, resilience and encourage innovative yet practical design solutions.

Participants are asked to design a project that can be delivered for $50,000 or less, demonstrating how limited resources can be used creatively to produce lasting, positive change. Building Trust International will work alongside competition partners and the winning team to bring their project to life.
